I’m divorced with 3 children and live in Leicestershire.    After 25 years in computer systems sales, I finally realised there must be more to life than sitting in endless traffic jams and decided to make a radical career change.  Utilising my art college background and the experience gained from many years of painting as a hobby, I decided to see if I could make an honest living selling my paintings.

Inspired by beautiful stained glass windows upstairs in my house, I wanted to bring their style and brightness into a room that more guests would see. The Gallery shows the resulting 5 panel landscape hanging in my dining room. By building colour in transparent layers, the stained glass effect is very realistic and the series of pictures have become the focal point of the room.  Each picture is initially drawn in pencil, and then hand painted with acrylics in up to 7 layers.  The frame edges are finished in white and the painting is protected with a satin varnish. 

The success of this experiment has led me to extend the range of pictures using the same techniques.  Varying from traditional art deco to modern designs, each painting is vibrant and unique.
